Alzheimer’s Disease Community Assistance Program (AlzCAP)

Through the generous support of the New York State Department of Health, the Coalition has been able to expand core services and outreach to important community partners. Through AlzCAP, and increased funds, we have:

  • Provided support groups, care consultations, a free 24-Hour Helpline, and community outreach and education to coach caregivers and connect them with appropriate resources.
  • Partnered with houses of worship, senior centers, first responders, pharmacies, cultural organizations, financial planners, lawyers, mail carriers and many others to bring public awareness to the Alzheimer’s epidemic and empower them to be dementia-friendly.
  • Hired Spanish speakers, social workers, patient advocates and family members of individuals with Alzheimer’s who are passionate ambassadors.

With the continued support of New York State’s Department of Health, we will continue to reach millions of people who need our support and will benefit from our education.
