Alzheimer’s Community Assistance Program (AlzCAP)
Through the generous support of the New York State Department of Health, the Coalition, the only statewide organization serving and advocating for those affected by Alzheimer's, has delivered in-depth, expert services and education to important community partners for almost 20 years. Through AlzCAP, we have:
- Provided support groups, care consultations, a free 24-Hour Helpline, and community outreach and education to coach caregivers and connect them with appropriate resources.
- Partnered with houses of worship, senior centers, first responders, pharmacies, cultural organizations, financial planners, lawyers, and many others to bring public awareness to the Alzheimer’s epidemic and empower them to be dementia-friendly, and aware of the services available.
- Hired multilingual and countless staff, including social workers and patient advocates and educators, to serve family members of individuals with Alzheimer’s.
With the continued support of Governor Cuomo, the New York State Legislature and New York State’s Department of Health, we will continue to reach millions of people who need our support and will benefit from our education.
