Alzheimer's New York State Plan
New York State Coordinating Council for Services Related to Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias
The New York State Coordinating Council for Services Related to Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias was established by public health law in 2007. The Council was formed to:
- Facilitate inter-agency planning and policy-making.
- Review specific agency initiatives for their impact on services related to the care of persons with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias and their families.
- Provide a continuing forum for concerns and discussions related to the formulation of a comprehensive state policy.
The Coalition and several of its board members are active members of the Council. The Council's 2017 Report to Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature is available here.
